Weding Photography in Capel near Rusper Horsham West Sussex
Weddings are the most special and important day of a couple’s life, and choosing a wedding photographer requires finding someone you trust to record the most important day in your life! Fortunately for Gary and Libby they had previous experience of seeing me work as a wedding photographer at Libby’s sister’s wedding last year. (read about Trish and Rob’s wedding here)
When they came and asked me to photograph their wedding ceremony at StJohn the Baptist’s church in Capel, and their wedding reception at Taylor’s Farm Retreat I knew that I didn’t want to miss their special day. I met with the bride and groom to be in Southwater over a drink to discuss their plans and make sure that I understood all their plans and found out exactly what they wanted from their wedding photos.
With Gary, an Auzzie, and Libby being Sussex born and bred the mix of cultural influences on their wedding was clearly evident, with Gary and Libby walking down the aisle together, plenty of Victoria Brew (the only real Australian beer I’m reliably informed); and a Candy Bar full of both countries best sweets. They decorated the barn for their wedding with a dozen lines of fairy lights providing a canopy of twinkling lights overhead, and the wedding meal was a traditional English High Tea, with scones, Victoria sponge cake and egg mayo and cucumber sandwiches! Finished up with the evening wedding celebration by a proper Aussie BBQ for those hungry (and more carnivorous) wedding guests!
All in all it was a beautiful day, despite the rain which didn’t dampen the party mood, the bride looked stunning and the groom was the happiest man in town!
