Photographing a wedding at Ghyl Manor is a treat for any wedding photographer, their grounds are specially laid out to enable some stunning photos to be achieved throughout the year and in a variety of weather conditions.
Fortunately for us though we didn’t have to worry about rain at this gorgeous wedding! Rob and Trish got in touch with me earlier in the year looking to capture their wedding day. It’s not often you meet such a relaxed couple, I guess they have to be with four children between them, their whole day was very much a family focused event; with a bouncy castle brought in by Trish’s sister and her fiancé for the kids to enjoy!
The ceremony was simply beautiful, with their youngest standing at their feet, watching the happy couple making their vows. The afternoon was filled with the clinking of ice in cold drinks and everyone gathering under the archways to stay out of the hot summer sun.
I took the bride and groom off for a quiet stroll and wedding photos around the grounds of the hotel, capturing them under a beautiful garden arch and enjoying spending time together wandering around the hotel grounds.
In the evening, they had booked my wedding photo booth to provide great and fun photos for their guests which we printed out on site, and what a great bit of entertainment that was for everyone, I don’t think I’ve ever known a DJ to complain (jokingly) that I was attracting more people than the music and dancing was! The end result though was worth it, with some stunning photos of all of their wedding guests stuck into their guest book, with lovely comments to boot!
What a great wedding day, great weather, wonderful couple, stunning venue, great guests and beautiful wedding photos (if I can say so myself!)
