I was recently asked to photograph a newborn baby, it’s been a while! The joys of Covid really shut down photography with tiny ones, understandably, for a really long while. The few newborns that I photographed during the lulls in the lockdown(s) I often wore a mask for, which really doesn’t help with communication and getting the best reactions from tiny ones! So it was really lovely to be able to capture this bubbly baby as well as his parents. It’s so great to be back working closely with the parents to photograph their tiny bundles of joy.

Baby Jack was so full of smiles that I was spoilt for choice with regards taking the photos of this beautiful baby. His parents also wanted a few photos of them together, which I was more than happy to accomodate. I’m always happy to capture photos that my clients want, so do share your ideas with me. A newborn photo shoot might focus on the baby (hence ‘newborn photo shoot’!) but siblings, parents even grandparents can always join in. The only thing to remember is that the setup that I use is aimed at photographing the baby, so I don’t bring a big background with me. But if you’re happy taking a photo in the garden or by the front door, or even in your home, then that’s fine and I would love to photograph you and your baby together.

Give me a shout or contact me to get in touch and book in your newborn photo shoot.
