I love nothing more than photographing something out of the ordinary, and an Indian wedding matches that description down to a T. So when Vaihari and Ranjith got in touch to ask me to shoot the UK part of their wedding (with the main wedding celebrations taking place in Switzerland latter on in the month) I couldn’t wait.

Ranjith, Vaihari and their family members were all dressed in full Indian wedding attire, with beautiful sari’s, bangles and henna for the ladies and shalwar kameez for the men.
The wedding ceremony at Horsham registry office, a fantastic grade 2 listed Georgian building in the heart of Horsham, was simple yet heartfelt with plenty of laughter and talking amongst all the guests and felt more like a family gathering than the more formal British weddings I’m used to.

After the ceremony we went outside into the registry office’s lovely formal gardens for a few group photos as well as a few couple photos. Sadly for me this was only a short wedding to shoot, their ‘full wedding’ celebration taking place in Switzerland later on in the month, sadly I can’t make those due to the imminent arrival of our second child any day now.

Anyway, without further ado, here’s just a small selection of photos from this gorgeous Horsham wedding….
