I’ve got a special place in my heart for the Holy Trinity School in Crawley, I studied there many years ago, and I’ve enjoyed photographing their school Prom for the last few years. This year again was special, with the pupils celebrating the end of their GCSE exams in style. A school Prom wouldn’t be a Prom without everyone going a bit over the top, with the students arriving in a real variety of different modes of transport, anything from the stretched limo (which got stuck and couldn’t get out of the car park), to a motorcycle and side car, followed by a Ferrari and a beautiful vintage car everyone arriving in their own fashion.

The outfits were the same, with beautiful dresses some knee length, some with a train… needless to say every single one of them looked fantastic. The lads all looked rather dapper too.

This year for me was different, because I had decided to make things a bit more fun for the young people, bringing my prop box along to a school prom photo booth was always going to be a risk, would they want to have silly photos taken? I needn’t have worried they loved it and by the end of the evening the vast majority of the young people had been through and had their photos taken with one prop or another.

Another year, another fantastic school prom for my favourite secondary school in Crawley.
