I was asked to photograph a group of five best friends celebrating a sixteenth Birthday. One of the suggestions was that we photograph a colour run which was a fantastic if not messy idea. When the girls arrived at my Photography studio in Horsham I could tell we were going to have a great photo shoot. We started off with a few group photos and some fun photos of them all together before getting down to the colour run photo part of the shoot.
I wanted to show the friendship shared by the girls in a single strong image, this is my favourite, everyone of them supports every other in this hands photo.
The girls wanted just a few photos of themselves together before things got messy.
Even then it was hard to contain their bubbly energy and fun.
When the colours started to fly I knew we had some fantastic photos which the girls would love.
Standing dead still whilst various different colours of powder paint was thrown at them was hard work for the girls
