This last month has been rather busy in the portrait studio, with a variety of requests including one for a single mum, her young son and the family dog…I know the rule of thumb is ‘never work with children and animals’ but I was promised she was a very well behaved dog, so I said yes. And I’m so pleased we did. We communicated before hand and they really wanted to communicate themselves and a bit about their lives through the photos.

Overall the photo shoot went really well, the dog was well behaved (as promised) and the young lad was priceless with a fantastic face full of expression and laughter, the two of them (mother and son) could easily have been models!

Not only did we do the classic portrait studio photos, but we dressed them up in their walking kit and captured the look and feel of one of their favourite daily activities together as a family…walking the dog.
Communicating more about yourself by dressing the part is a great way of showing off who you really are.
