The evening’s entertainment was provided by a local band from Haywards Heath.
The Yellow Ribbon Ball fundraiser at the Hickstead Showground is definitely an event I will never forget. The event organiser accidentally booked two photographers, and me unknowing arrived two hours before the event and literally a few moments after the other photographer suddenly thought that that was the end of my working evening; after a discussion with the event organizer I was about to take my assistant home when she declared that for a variety of reasons (good communication with her before the event being a prime one) that she’d rather have us than the other photographer, and promptly asked the other photographer to pack up and head home… leaving my assistant and me less than an hour to set-up our photo-booth and get everything ready.
Needless to say we did it, and were ready just as the guests started to arrive at the Hickstead Showground, ready for a party to remember. The hall we were in was impressive, comfortably seating over 200 guests, and the food (which we sadly weren’t privy to) looked delicious. With much laughter and dancing until the early hours of the morning we had a great evening capturing the guests enjoying the atmosphere and fantastic music provided by two bands who’s age ranges and musical repertoire catered for all the guests teenagers through to the golden oldies.
