I have photographed weddings around the Horsham area now for over 10 years, and one of the venues of old (what used to be Manning Heath Hotel) had been relatively low down on my list of favourite places to photograph a wedding. This was mainly because it was a bit dark, with small rooms, tired decor and in need of a lot of work to bring it up to a high quality standard.
So I’d heard that the hotel got sold a couple of years ago and has since then been under what can only be described as a full make-over. It’s been re-branded as the ‘Brookfield Barn’ with an all new oak beamed barn attachment having been built, which provides wedding seating for up to 130+ guests (up from the old limit of 30-40 guests). There’s also an outdoor wedding area which overlooks the pre-existing little lake. And to go with that, the rooms have all been done up and brought well into the 21st century.
I can now honestly say that this venue has jumped from a poor runner up to a leading contender for the best local wedding venue in the area.
So I’m excited to show off just a few photos from a wedding I photographed there recently, and look forward to shooting many more in this now highly sought after wedding venue.
